Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Apollo Digital Foundry (“Apollo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with HappeningIn, including our website, city event guides, event-detail pages, saved-event features, source links, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Usage and device information: pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
- Local saved-event data: if you save events, that preference may be stored locally in your browser or device so the feature works without an account.
- Communications: information you provide when you contact us, send feedback, request support, report a correction, or otherwise communicate with us.
- Future submissions: if we later re-enable event submissions or account features, we may collect information you provide such as event details, organizer information, contact details, account credentials, and related content.
- Third-party and public-source information: event data and related public information from venue calendars, ticketing pages, organizer pages, data providers, and other public or licensed sources.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service;
- display, organize, deduplicate, and quality-check event listings;
- remember local preferences such as saved events where supported;
- measure performance, traffic, feature usage, and product quality;
- respond to questions, feedback, correction requests, and legal requests;
- prevent fraud, abuse, scraping that harms the Service, security incidents, and policy violations;
- develop new features, cities, data sources, and user experiences; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, analytics tags, log files, and similar technologies to keep the Service working, remember preferences, understand usage, improve reliability, and protect against abuse. Saved events may be stored in your browser’s local storage. You can often control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, but disabling them may break or limit some features.
4. Analytics and service providers
We may use vendors and infrastructure providers for hosting, analytics, error monitoring, security, email, data processing, and similar operational needs. These providers may process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments. Examples of provider categories include hosting platforms, database providers, analytics tools, monitoring tools, email providers, and data-source APIs.
5. Third-party links and event sources
The Service links to third-party websites such as venues, organizers, ticketing platforms, publications, and data providers. We do not control their privacy practices. If you click a source link, buy tickets, RSVP, subscribe, or otherwise interact with a third party, that third party may collect information from you under its own privacy policy and terms.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- to service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service;
- to comply with laws, subpoenas, court orders, legal process, or lawful government requests;
- to protect the rights, safety, security, property, or integrity of Apollo, users, partners, or the public;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction;
- with your direction or consent; and
- as aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information that does not reasonably identify you.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate and improve the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain security, and preserve business records. Local saved-event data may remain on your device until you clear it through your browser or device settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no website, network, database, or internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.
9. Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding certain personal information. You may also be able to opt out of certain analytics or cookies through browser settings or third-party controls. To make a request, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
10. U.S. state privacy notices
Some U.S. state laws provide additional rights regarding personal information. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. If we use advertising or analytics technologies that are considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” under a particular law, we will provide legally required choices where applicable.
11. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. International users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means the updated Privacy Policy applies to your use of the Service.
